Open Access Policy

OPEN ACCESS POLICY

Verba: Jurnal Bahasa Inggris provides immediate open access to all published content. This policy is based on the principle that making research results freely available to the public supports the global exchange of scholarly knowledge.

All articles published in Verba: Jurnal Bahasa Inggris are open access and can be freely accessed by readers without any charges. This policy is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which defines open access as:

“By ‘open access’ to this literature, we mean its free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, index them, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution, and the only role for copyright in this domain, should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.”

The implementation of this open access policy provides several benefits to authors, including increased visibility and readership of published articles, unrestricted access for users worldwide, accelerated dissemination of research findings, and the absence of space or distribution limitations.

Copyright of articles published in Verba: Jurnal Bahasa Inggris remains with the authors. However, all articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), which permits others to copy, distribute, and adapt the work, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author and that any derivative works are distributed under the same license.
